Turkish Bath Clothing: What to Wear and What to Pack
Packing for a hamam takes about a minute. Here's the short list — and what you don't need to bring, because it's waiting for you there.

In short
Wear swimwear to a Turkish bath — you keep it on throughout — and travel in loose, light clothes. Bring flip-flops or comfortable footwear, a change of underwear, a hairbrush and water. The hamam provides a towel, a peştemal wrap and slippers, so your own towel is optional.
What to wear in the hamam
Swimwear. A swimsuit or bikini, or swim shorts — whatever you'd wear on the beach. Guests are not naked in the hamam, and your swimwear stays on for every stage, from the first minutes of heat to the last of the massage.
Between the stages you wrap yourself in a peştemal: a light, thin cloth, the Turkish bath's traditional wrap, handed to you on arrival.
What to wear on the way
The hamam is warm and humid, and you'll come out relaxed and very warm. Loose, lightweight clothes are the most comfortable for the drive there and back — nothing tight, nothing you'd mind putting on over damp skin.
What to bring

- Light, comfortable clothes for before and after
- Flip-flops or other comfortable footwear
- A change of underwear
- A hairbrush or comb
- Your own toiletries, if you need them
- Water to drink
- Your own towel — only if you prefer it to the hamam's
What's already there
The hamam provides a towel, a peştemal wrap and slippers. Other facilities, such as lockers, are not something we promise, so bring as little of value as you can and leave the rest at your hotel. If a particular facility matters to you, ask us when you book.
